Brother Visitor Badge and Management software can be used to easily manage visitors at a business, organization or school by issuing visitor badges and tracking visitor sign in and sign out.

This file contains additional information on the use of Brother Visitor Badge & Management software.  For additional details on the various software features, please refer to the Userfs Guide.

 Installation
---------------------------------------------------------------------
* Installing the full version of the Visitor Badge & Management software requires approximately 70 MB of available hard disk space on the drive where Windows(R) is installed and approximately 100 MB of available hard disk space on the drive where the Visitor Badge & Management software will be installed. 

* In order to install the Visitor Badge & Management software onto Microsoft(R) Windows(R) 2000, XP, 2003 or Vista, you must log on with Administrator privileges.

* Before performing the installation, quit all running or background applications.

* Use the Visitor Badge & Management installer or the printer driver installer to install the printer driver; do not use the Add Printer Wizard in the Printers folder of Control Panel.

* After the Visitor Badge & Management software is installed, be sure to restart the computer when instructed. In addition, after the computer is restarted, be sure to log on with the same user name that was used when the application was installed.

* In order to sort data in a database, Service Packs are required with Microsoft(R) Windows(R) 2000 and Windows(R) XP. Use Windows Update to upgrade to Service Pack 4 Windows(R) 2000 and Windows(R) XP (SP2 or above version required).

 Installation Procedure
---------------------------------------------------------------------
* Insert the installation disk into the computer's CD-ROM drive. The Brother Setup dialog box will automatically appear. Follow the instructions in the dialog boxes that appear to finish the installation.


 Uninstallation
---------------------------------------------------------------------
  The Uninstall operation will remove the Visitor Badge & Management software from the hard disk drive where it was installed.

* If the application is running when it is uninstalled, some files may not be removed. Please be sure to quit the application before uninstalling it.


 Uninstallation Procedure
---------------------------------------------------------------------
* Click the Add/Remove Programs icon in Control Panel (Add or Remove Programs icon in Windows(R) XP), select "Brother Visitor Badge & Management" in the dialog box that appears, and then click the Remove button.

* In order to uninstall the Visitor Badge & Management software from Microsoft(R) Windows(R) 2000, XP, 2003 or Vista, you must log on with Administrator privileges.


 Precautions
---------------------------------------------------------------------
 Observe the following precautions when using the Visitor Badge & Management software.

* Do not delete installed files, change file names or change folder names, otherwise some functions will no longer be available.
